I’m in an anthology for poetry!
For almost a year now, I have been participating in Three Line Thursday, the web-child of the amazing Grace Black.
Each week, we get a picture prompt. You are allowed only 30 words to speak of said picture. 10 words per line, hence…
I never really thought of myself as a poet. To be honest, I never really thought of myself as a writer until now. 🙂
(I still have trouble thinking that way)
I love this challenge! The pictures are always breath-taking and I use it as an exercise to tap into an untouched part of my thinking. Everyone who participates is so nice and encouraging. The writing community is really an amazing one.
Each week, a judge blindly picks a winner. Someone they felt really spoke true to the picture. Well, I won! Just a few weeks in, I won.
The feeling was awesome and I got to judge the following week. For the first time, I really felt like I may be doing something right.
