My Sexy Boyfriend- #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #MSS105

Week two of My Sexy Saturday!

Today- I’m bringing you a scene from a work in progress of mine called That Next Chapter. It’s a story about a girl moving on from a past relationship and realizing that its okay to finally let it go.

Anyways- hope you enjoy!

** This is an unedited scene and due to change **

As Grayson continues to talk to the driver, his hand is resting on my knee, his thumb tracing my skin. He’s leaving a trail of heat that has me panting.

This is it. The taxi is going to park and I’m going to need to make a decision. Am I going home or staying with Grayson? Can I do this? Should I do this? Jacob will be at my house in the morning.  He won’t understand…

I feel Grayson squeeze my knee and I flash him a quick smile. “Stop over thinking things, Abby. Do whatever it is that you want to do and makes you happy. No one else’s feelings matter, understand?”

The street lights pass through the car as we drive over the Ravenel Bridge. Mount Pleasant is quiet for this time of night and that quietness makes me nervous. Like a calm before a storm. My heart is pounding in my chest and I swear the others can hear it.

Do I want this? The answer seems so obvious. Yes, I do. My crush on Grayson has grown into desire. I have fantasized of this moment; thinking of Grayson’s smile, his bright eyes, the cocky way he talks about himself, all of it. It drives me crazy. And the thought that he wants me as much as I want him has sent my nerves into overdrive. I never saw myself with anyone after Jacob, and now– now I can’t think of anything else.

I feel the car stop and I come out of my thoughts to see we’re in front of Grayson’s. He reaches over and pays the cab driver. The driver turns around and shakes his hand, “Congratulations, my friends. May you have a blessed marriage, and live each day enveloped in the same passion as I saw tonight.”

I smile at the man and nod. His words are so kind and he means them. I open my door and step out. Grayson steps out on his side and I turn to see him watching me. The car drives away, leaving empty space between us. In two strides, he’s in front of me, his lips inches from mine.  “Stay with me. Nothing has to happen; I just want you to stay.”

Late Summer Sexy- #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #MSS104

So my fellow writer, Corrissa James, introduced me to this awesome blog called My Sexy Saturday.

It’s a blog hop for romance writers. We can use 7 words, 7 sentences, or 7 paragraphs to promote a sexy scene from any work. Pretty awesome way to find some different authors to check out.

This week’s theme is late summer sexy. It’s my favorite time of year, which is why Playing House is set during it.

** Excerpt from Playing House**

He picks me up and sets me on the countertop, mumbling “I want dessert in here.” He steps between my legs.

Caleb takes a spoon, dips it in the sorbet, and holds it to my mouth. He traces my bottom lip, the cold spoon sending chills throughout my body. Then again, it could be the intense look Caleb is giving me. I open my mouth, allowing the sorbet to coat my tongue. Without taking his eyes from mine, Caleb spoons sorbet into his own mouth. Leaning in, he kisses my lips. They’re cold, but his tongue is warm.

God, he tastes delicious.

He eats another spoonful, kisses my neck right behind my ear and moans. I lean into him as he trails kisses along my neck, around my bruises and up to the other ear. He stops to swallow another spoonful before flicking his tongue against my earlobe.

“Want some?” he asks, teasing my lips with the cold spoon.

I swallow the cold sorbet, my body burning with desire for him. I lean in to kiss him.

He pulls backs. “No ma’am. I’m pleasuring you.”

Playing House coverPlaying House will be released on Sept. 1st but is available for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and iBooks.

Author: Alexandria Bishop

Series: Marlowe Series #1

Ashtyn Moretti is ready for the best summer of her life. But her parents have other plans when they drop the bomb that her perfect summer will be spent…

Away from home.

Away from friends.

Away from half her family.

Armed with her Summer from Hell playlist and a Kindle full of book boyfriends, Ashtyn prepares to face what she is sure will be the worst summer of her life. Or will it be?

Flynn James has one thing on his mind—the success of his band Marlowe. He’s focused and doesn’t have time for any distractions, and that includes facing his past. But then a petite brunette comes walking into the pub where he works.

Neither Ashtyn or Flynn were looking for love but they can’t deny their obvious attraction. Ashtyn’s summer has been full of lies. The last thing she expects is for Flynn to be one of the liars too. Can she forgive his lies and turn her summer around? Can Flynn keep his secrets without losing everything? Or will this really be the Summer from Hell?

A great job by Alexandria Bishop!

Flynn and Ashtyn are young and adorable lovers. They are the summer relationship that every girl wants and dreams of. 🙂

After a serious fight with her mom, Ashtyn leaves home to clear her head. Little does she know that she’ll run into someone who changes her world forever. Flynn is just at work, doing what he does everyday. Until someone walks into his pub that helps him see what he’s been missing in life.

Pack with tidbits for the upcoming books in the series, Finding Flynn is a real page turner. Alexandria really brought out the voice of an 18 year old… I felt like I was back in high school rooting for my friend to make it through. It took me back to my first love and I from the moment he brought her a Shirley Temple and not a beer, I knew they had to make it through.

Side Note– the playlists (that Alexandria has included for you) is a time warp for me! It’s like she was sitting in my car, stealing my music from my junior year. Ugh– I’m showing age now… moving forward!

I enjoyed the side characters a lot and look forward to see what happens to Chole in the next story.

I give this 4 stars and I definitely recommend this fantastic summer read!

teaser 4

We’re strolling through a nearby empty park. Leaves are dancing in the light breeze, and a creek is babbling gently nearby. It’s quiet and peaceful but it isn’t doing anything to help calm my nerves. Although we came out here to talk, we haven’t said a word. I open my mouth and immediately close it. My mouth is dry like I just spent all day rocking out at Warped Tour, leaving my tongue like a sheet of sandpaper.

I lick my lips hoping to produce some saliva and ask, “Are there any drinking fountains nearby?”

Flynn gets a shit-eating grin and points to a giant statue with fountains on all sides. “Over there.”

I take a giant gulp that I immediately spit right back out. Unfortunately, Flynn is standing within shooting range and gets a mouthful of the nasty liquid, which tastes like coppery rotten eggs. I’m not sure which one of us is more shocked but I can’t hold in the laughter. The pain in my side is almost unbearable. I almost don’t hear Flynn say, “You think that’s funny, do you?”

Not understanding his tone, I look up to a blazing green fire. I don’t know whether to be scared or seriously turned on. I turn to run but he grabs me and flips me around. My body shakes with fear and desire as Flynn rubs his hands up and down my arms. I don’t speak, too terrified of what I would say but even more terrified of ruining whatever is happening. I nervously gnaw on my bottom lip and he zones right in on it and licks his own.

Leaning forward, I run my hands through his silky hair. He lightly presses his lips to mine, stopping everything around us. Not satisfied with the featherlight kiss, I greedily run my tongue along his bottom lip and use my teeth to gently tug on his lip ring. A guttural groan escapes him, causing my entire body to tingle, right down to my toes. Suddenly I understand what all those girls are feeling in the romance novels I devour. This single kiss will ruin all future kisses for me.

Letting go of his piercing, I push my tongue against his mouth and he grants me access. The moment our tongues tangle, the air around us thickens and everything shifts. Flynn’s hands trail my body. Everywhere he touches, my body is on fire. My back hits cold stone, and I wrap my leg around his waist. Flynn lifts me and both legs hook around him. His hardness hits my sweet spot and I let out a husky moan, causing him to rock against me. My eyes roll back into my head and I throw it back, unable to control myself any longer.

#ShoutOutSunday- Bree Lynne Potter (and yes, I know I’m a day late)

Sorry! Yes, I know I’m posting this on a Monday but things were going down at the homestead that threw me off track.  But enough of my excuses…let me get to my Shout Out for this week.

I’ve been pretty busy lately with work and trying to tie all the loose ends together for the release of Playing House. My friend, Bree and I were talking about personal assistants to authors. I wanted to ask her for her help and she was going to ask if she could be mine.

(That great minds think alike just might be true)

Within the first HOUR of our agreement, she got me a review and blog stop for my tour 😀

But this Shout Out isn’t just because she’s been a wizard at promotion. No, its so much more.

If you remember from my bio– This is the same Bree who has helped me to start writing. The same one who first read Playing House and pushed me to keep going. Without that conversation on books, on that one night in my apartment years ago, I wouldn’t be sitting here about to release my first NOVEL. Not a short story, but a real life novel. I owe her so much for helping me see this path.

She’s in the process of finishing a story called Heal Me. It’s amazing so far and I can’t wait to see it published! Thank you Bree for everything and someday, we’ll be throwing a release party together! Love you!
